7 ways to market your your brand/business online for free

  1. Embrace social media

Social media isn’t just a tool to gain exposure—it has now one of the most valuable tools right becoming a necessary investment for every business to make. You can tie in ads and offers on your Facebook page and have a direct channel with your customers on Facebook and Twitter.

Networking on LinkedIn—both at the personal and company level—can be another way to help your business. Instagram is also a great visual platform.
Pushing content on Google Plus. After all, it’s a product of Google and if you want to climb those rankings, we suggest keeping Google sweet.

YouTube provides a free way to distribute your promotional videos, just put up content that is relevant to your business and it interesting —just putting up an ad will not work. Vimeo has a similar service and easy to post videos relating to your business. A Flickr profile gives you a place to store all of your business photos and allows you to link back to your website.

Search engine optimization cannot be underestimated in a world where people are constantly Googling. 

5. Start a blog

A blog not only helps your company get its name out through followers but is a way to connect with your consumers more directly. But remember a dormant, abandoned blog is worth nothing.

6. Video Marketing

In the past few years, people are more likely to click on an image or video than to read an article on read you’re about section of your business, you’d be mad to ignore the proliferation of video lately. If you’ve got something useful to say, then say it on video. It also makes for highly shareable, marketable content – push it on your website and on social media.

7. Press releases

Every time your business does something newsworthy, don’t hesitate to shoot off a press release. They’re a powerful media tool to use to help generate publicity, and having the free distribution of them is a bonus.There are dozens of websites out there that you can use for your press releases, such as PRLog and 24/7 Press Release.
